I'm Gonna Make A Change,
For Once In My Life
It's Gonna Feel Real Good,
Gonna Make A Difference
Gonna Make It Right . . .

As I, Turn Up The Collar On My
Favourite Winter Coat
This Wind Is Blowin' My Mind
I See The Kids In The Street,
With Not Enough To Eat
Who Am I, To Be Blind?
Pretending Not To See
Their Needs
A Summer's Disregard,
A Broken Bottle Top
And A One Man's Soul
They Follow Each Other On
The Wind Ya' Know
'Cause They Got Nowhere
To Go
That's Why I Want You To
Know

I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change)
(Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah)

I've Been A Victim Of A Selfish
Kind Of Love
It's Time That I Realize
That There Are Some With No
Home, Not A Nickel To Loan
Could It Be Really Me,
Pretending That They're Not
Alone?

A Willow Deeply Scarred,
Somebody's Broken Heart
And A Washed-Out Dream
(Washed-Out Dream)
They Follow The Pattern Of
The Wind, Ya' See
Cause They Got No Place
To Be
That's Why I'm Starting With
Me
(Starting With Me!)

I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
(Ooh!)
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change)

I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm Asking Him To Change His
Ways
(Change His Ways-Ooh!)
And No Message Could've
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make That . . .
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make That . . .)
Change!

I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror,
(Man In The Mirror-Oh
Yeah!)
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
(Better Change!)
No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make The Change)
(You Gotta Get It Right, While
You Got The Time)
('Cause When You Close Your
Heart)
You Can't Close Your . . .Your
Mind!
(Then You Close Your . . .
Mind!)
That Man, That Man, That
Man, That Man
With That Man In The Mirror
(Man In The Mirror, Oh Yeah!)
That Man, That Man, That Man
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
(Better Change!)
You Know . . .That Man
No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change)
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah
(Oh Yeah!)
Gonna Feel Real Good Now!
Yeah Yeah! Yeah Yeah!
Yeah Yeah!
Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah
(Ooooh . . .)
Oh No, No No . . .
I'm Gonna Make A Change
It's Gonna Feel Real Good!
Come On!
(Change . . .)
Just Lift Yourself
You Know
You've Got To Stop It.
Yourself!
(Yeah!-Make That Change!)
I've Got To Make That Change,
Today!
Hoo!
(Man In The Mirror)
You Got To
You Got To Not Let Yourself . . .
Brother . . .
Hoo!
(Yeah!-Make That Change!)
You Know-I've Got To Get
That Man, That Man . . .
(Man In The Mirror)
You've Got To
You've Got To Move! Come
On! Come On!
You Got To . . .
Stand Up! Stand Up!
Stand Up!
(Yeah-Make That Change)
Stand Up And Lift
Yourself, Now!
(Man In The Mirror)
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Aaow!
(Yeah-Make That Change)
Gonna Make That Change . . .
Come On!
(Man In The Mirror)
You Know It!
You Know It!
You Know It!
You Know . . .
(Change . . .)
Make That Change
"Man in the Mirror"
The lyrics above are the lyrics to "Man in the Mirror" by Michael Jackson. In the lyrics he is showing how he is changing by choice. He is changing for other people that he doesn't even know. He is going to try and make a difference for people that he has never met. This shows that anyone can change how they think even if they are famous. The song shows that you just have to look at yourself then look at all the people around you and decide what is best for everyone. Change is good in this song it is good for him and the people around him.

The Truman Show

The Truman Show is a great example of extremely hard change. Any time he wants to change something about his life people on the show stop him and continue to try and get him back into the oblivious state he was once in. For example when he is trying to change where he lives people are telling him to stay that its so much better in his little town, there isn't anything out there he wants to see anyway. This shows that when you want to change there will be many obstacle's in your way. People will try and stop you and you will start to believe them as well. This movie also shows that once you push through the hard times you will change yourself into the person you want to be and you will be happy.

Summary of The Truman Show

The Truman show was made in 1998. It is a man named Truman who works as a business man and has lived in the same place his entire life. Really he is on a 24 hour television show that has been airing his whole life with out him knowing. Everyone that he knows is an actor his parents, best friend and wife. As he grows up he wants to leave his home town and explore what else there is out there for him to see but everyone is trying to stop him. Every time he try's to leave the town something happens that restricts him to town life a chemical leak outside of town that forces him back in. He starts to figure out what is going on and what's to change it. He sneaks out of his house and takes his boat all the way to the end of the ocean which is really the end of the set. He takes one look back and changes his life walking out the door.
Pursuit of Happiness
The Pursuit of happiness shows change for other people. When Chris and his family fall into hard times his wife leaves him and his son to move to New York. Chris try's his very best to find money to live with his son. He gets himself an intership at a brokers office. He continues to change his way of looking at things so his son will look at things positively. He changed how fast he worked and how many people he called. At the end of the intership he gets the job and becomes a rich man but only because he tried to change the situation him and his son were in.

Summary of Pursuit of Happiness

Chris Gardner and his wife and son fall into hard times. Chris runs around the city to different hospitals trying to sell them x-ray scanners. His wife leaves him and his son and moves to New York to try and get a new start for herself. Chris meets Jay Twistle in a cab ride and impresses him by solving his rubix cube for him in a incredibly short amount of time. He offers him a chance to a have an intership at his brokers office. Chris goes in everyday he is supposed to but doesn't look like he should be there. He works extremely hard to get the job and he does. In the end it says that Chris becomes a successful man and owns his own brokerage firm.
